a. Best time to visit: It is better to arrive there as early as possible. If you make it to the temple before 8 A.M. it would be ideal, as it is very close to Nakamise shopping street and once the shops are opening, the place will be flooded by both tourists and locals.

b. The entrance is free

Nakamise shopping street is one of the most famous shopping streets in Asakusa. There you can try a lot of yummy snacks as there are plenty of shops selling a great variety of snacks, accessories, toys and crafts. The street is very close to Senso-ji temple.

a. Best time to visit: it is better to be there as early as possible, but not earlier than 10 A.M as the shops might not be opened yet and the best time to go there in order to fully enjoy the place is once the street gets flooded with tourists.

Omoide Yokocho is a popular tourist attraction in Shinjuku.

The small alley is know for the cozy restaurants serving traditional Japanese food.

If you want to fully enjoy this place, the best time to visit Omoide Yokocho is in the evening, after 19:00 P.M.

Shibuya Sky is the highest observatory of Shibuya.

Here, you can experience a unique sunset over the entire city of Tokyo and admire on clear days Mount Fuji.

This panoramic view gives you the chance to see the most iconic spots of Tokyo from above, such as: Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Shibuya crossing etc.

The best time to visit Shibuya Sky is at sunset. Make sure to purchase the tickets for a scheduled entrance time a few minutes (30 to 45 mins) before the sunset time for that particular day as it can get crowded at the entrance and arriving at the top might take some time.

Best things to do in Kyoto&Osaka

Ninenzaka street is located in the historical district of Higashiyama, in Kyoto. 

Ninenzaka street is a famous touristic spot due to the traditional houses on the both sides of the street and it is also where you will find a variety of souvenir or themed shops and traditional restaurants.

a. Best time to visit

If you are planning to visit this street and take some beautiful photos, make sure to be there as early as 7 because it gets pretty crowded during the day. 

Fun fact: here is also where you will find an interesting Starbucks created especially so it would fit into the scenery. Inspired by a traditional Japanese teahouse, it is said to be the first “tatami” Starbucks.

Hokan-ji temple is a 46-meter tall pagoda, situated in an old, traditional neighborhood of Kyoto. It is said that the impressive structure was inspired by a dream and it is the last remaining structure out of a complex of temples built in the 6th century.

If you want to walk around the temple, you can do it at any time, but if your purpose is to avoid the crowds, make sure to be there as early as 7 A.M.

a. How to get there

From Karasuma Station West Gate (in Kyoto), you can take the Limited Express Train (Limited Exp.) from Line 2 to Awaji station.

From the Awaji station (line 4) you have to take a local train to Nippombashi station (in Osaka).

b. Things to do in Osaka

Depending on the length of your trip, you can stay up to 2 days in Osaka.

Once you arrive, you have to visit Dotonbori street, but make sure to wait until the sunset as the street gets busy at night when all the streetfood shops will be opened.

I would also recommend the famous cake served in a can from the vending machine: Okashi Gaku Patisserie.

Last but not least, enjoy some delicious sushi prepared in front of your eyes at Sake Sushi Tamayamachi.
